Apna Finder was built on the premise to help facilitate in-person connections within communities. We wanted to create a place where people could easily find ways to get connected in the real world, where social engagement didn’t revolve around devices, and you could live in an environment where you were surrounded by people who could know you and help you.

 

Cyber connections can make us feel disjointed. It’s hard to get the most out of life when all your social engagements happen online. We came up with the idea of Apna Finder when I had visited my aunt in 2022. Here, I had witnessed a community that helped and engaged one another in a way that I had not seen anywhere else. Her community members would regularly show up at her door. They would exchange food, help each other with small tasks, organize rides around town, share references to services and look after my grandmother while my aunt was busy. This community was full of life and created a sense of belonging.

 

We created Apna Finder to replicate this experience and help anyone find ways to connect, whether that be posting a task, looking to meet up, or advertising their services and businesses. The area you live in is filled with talented, interesting people; we wanted to make it easy to expand your social network and start engaging in your communities.

 

As an individual who is shy, finding ways to get to know people is difficult, especially as an adult. Meeting people can be daunting, simply starting a conversation in person can become an obstacle. Imagine living in a place where you don’t know many people, where if you need help with something you don’t know who to ask. If you need to ask for advice you are limited by the people you know. And, if you want to find friends you have to jump through numerous hoops in hope of making connections. This is why we created a simple interface. So, anyone can connect one-on-one, or in a group, and make it easy to engage with individuals who share similar interests or are a part of the same communities. Because why should we live in a world that’s filled with strangers?

 

Apna Finder’s goal is to build a business that helps people, that’s why we believe in transparency. We don’t believe in selling data to generate income. We don’t keep your personal information, we don’t keep user images, we don’t track our users, and we don’t read our user’s messages. If there is an issue with a community, post, or user we encourage our users to inform us. Together, we can maximize the value Apna Finder can have in the communities we live in. So to make it simple, we are a free platform, our revenue stream comes from in app ads and commission from purchases, and our hope is to make a positive difference in people’s lives. We would like your help to make this happen.
